hbd lalyn

today's my pretty friend's, lalyn's, birthday. the last time we've seen each other was august 2005 at my tita's wake. before that was at my mother's wake 2 years ago. mabin, lalyn, tetet, t'nene, t'lorie, t'olib were my tropa in makati and we get to "volt in" every summer vacation.

night jamming with kuya lean, spanish bread, tivoli ice cream cookie, pansit-sa-kanto at night. also the "kalbaryo" during holy week. we stay up all night during those times. they do the "pasyon" and by dawn we eat hot lugaw or sopas at the back of the "kalbaryo".

it's going to be march soon --- summer time. will i miss seeing them again this holy week, like last last year when i chose to go to the beach with my other friends? lalyn, mabin, t'nene, and me will be the only ones to meet if i do go there. maybe t'olib and t'lorie. tetet's in the US. well, i probably won't... tsk-tsk-tsk... my bad...

teka, bakit nga ba ako nag-re-reminisce? this morning i received a text from lalyn thanking me for remembering her birthday correctly (because i greeted her on the 17th! heh-heh). she referred to me as "ayang" in the text and upon reading it i suddenly felt my heart moved. drama ba? ewan ko ba. bigla kong na-miss itong babaeng ito...kasama na yung tropa... and the things we used to do on summer vacation and holy week. haaaaaayyy... sila lang kasi ang tumatawag saken ng "ayang", and in fact sila nagsimula ng "yang". minsan din "yayang" and i prefer to be called that kasi feel-na-feel ko yung endearment :)
